Nemo garnered 591 points, surpassing Croatia (547 points) and Ukraine (453 points) to secure victory.

Prior to the competition, bookmakers favoured Croatia's entry, followed by Switzerland, Ukraine, and Ireland. However, Nemo's performance captivated audiences, ultimately securing them the coveted Eurovision title.

The competition, which took place in Malmö, Sweden, was not without controversy. Dutch artist Joost Klein was disqualified after a production team member filed a complaint regarding an alleged backstage incident. This marked the third time Malmö hosted Eurovision, with Sweden previously securing victories in 2013 and exceeding Ireland's record of six Eurovision wins.

Nemo: A Rising Star

Born in 1999 in Biel, Switzerland, Nemo's musical journey began in childhood with instruments like the violin, piano, and drums. Their national recognition came in 2016 with a viral appearance on SRF Virus (#Cypher). Two subsequent EPs yielded seven songs that charted on the official Swiss Singles Chart.

A turning point arrived in 2020 when Nemo ventured into songwriting and production for other artists, while also transitioning to English-language music. Their music delves into themes of gender identity, mental health, and the universal search for belonging.

The song "The Code," co-written by Nemo, reflects their personal journey of embracing a non-binary identity.
