*"I want a service centre for Abrams tanks for the whole of Europe, to maintain their combat readiness, to be located in Poland. This is possible, I am in talks about it,"* Prime Minister Morawiecki told a news conference in Anniston, Alabama, in a statement broadcast on Polish public television.

Poland, a close US NATO ally, has ordered 250 state-of-the-art Abrams battle tanks, in addition to 116 upgraded ones.

*"I have confirmation that 14 Abrams tanks will be delivered to Poland by June at the latest,"* Morawiecki said, adding that they will replace Soviet-era tanks his country donated to Ukraine to help it fight the Russian invasion.
