# Construction works on the Leova-Bumbăta bridge 80% completed

The construction works of the Leova-Bumbăta floating bridge are 80% completed, Executive Spokesman Daniel Vodă announced today. He said that the bridge will soon become operational.

*"On the Leova-Bumbăta bridge there are updates, yesterday, the technical teams continued the works even though it was May 9 and it was a holiday. We want these infrastructure projects to develop as soon as possible to benefit citizens. The construction process at this stage, according to information from the ministries, has reached 80%, so very soon the works will be completed and we will be able to make use of this infrastructure project,"* said Daniel Voda.

Earlier, Prime Minister Dorin Recean Recean announced that traffic on the Leova-Bumbăta bridge over the Prut will be launched in May. The bridge construction works started in the summer of 2022.
