# Maia Sandu had a farewell meeting with the Canadian ambassador: the head of state appreciated the lasting partnership between our countries

The head of state appreciated the long-standing partnership between our countries and the assistance provided in the context of Russia's war against Ukraine. 

Also, according to the Presidency, Maia Sandu thanked for the programs supported by Canada in the Republic of Moldova, but also for the contribution of Canadian partners for the management of the refugee crisis in Ukraine.

Finally, the president thanked Ambassador Annick Goulet for her service and involvement in strengthening bilateral relations between our states.
