The volume was written based on the memories of the author, but also of other deported persons, reads a press release of the Parliament.
"The idea of writing this book was suggested to her by the poet Grigore Vieru, as a result of reading the article written by the author, entitled "The Apple". "I wrote this book for three months. As I wrote I cried. The book describes in detail how we lived at home, how we were deported, how we lived in Siberia, the return home and what we found here", said Margareta Cemortan-Spînu.
One copy each of the book "Wolves. Memories from Siberia", with the author's autograph, will be exhibited at the Museum and Library of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
