The Romanian Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued widespread warnings covering all but the Black Sea coast, predicting accumulations exceeding 50 centimetres in some areas.

*"Significant snowfall is imminent,"* emphasised an ANM spokesperson. *"Strong winds gusting upwards of 80 kilometres per hour are also anticipated, potentially leading to power outages and travel disruptions."*

Proactive measures are underway, with authorities deploying snow removal equipment on national roads. *"Our primary focus is maintaining critical infrastructure and ensuring safe passage during this period,"* stated a representative from the Ministry of Transport.

While the storm is expected to taper off by Sunday, the ANM urges caution, particularly in mountainous regions. *"Hikers and skiers are advised to exercise prudence and closely monitor weather forecasts before venturing outdoors,"* cautioned an ANM official.
