*"War at our doorstep and instability across the globe,"* Geoană stated, highlighting the interconnectedness of global security threats. *"This year reinforced the need for a resilient society, a thriving economy, and robust defence to guarantee peace and security for our citizens and territories."*

Geoană outlined key actions taken by NATO in 2023, which included bolstering defence capabilities, refining strategic approaches, and fostering industrial development. These initiatives, he explained, aim to *"prevent conflict, strengthen deterrence, and create a stable and prosperous Euro-Atlantic region."*

Looking ahead, Geoană expressed unwavering resolve: *"NATO is prepared for any scenario in 2024. We remain committed to defending our values and ensuring the safety of our citizens."*
