# A modern center for stroke treatment opens in Florești

> The Florești district hospital will offer medical assistance in case of stroke for tens of thousands of residents from the north of the country starting today, July 15.

The Florești district hospital will offer medical assistance in case of stroke for tens of thousands of residents from the north of the country starting today, July 15.

A primary stroke center was recently inaugurated within the hospital, where patients will benefit from advanced medical investigations. Stroke patients who previously had to travel to Chisinau for treatment will also go here.

The investment in equipment is estimated at 15 million lei.

So far, such centers have been opened in Cahul, Căuşeni, Balti, Hâncești and Soroca.

In the Republic of Moldova, every year, almost 10 thousand people suffer a stroke.
