# Tragic accident in Ștefan-Vodă. One woman died, and five people were transported to the hospital

> A 47-year-old woman died following a serious accident that occurred near the village of Răscăieții Noi, Ștefan-Voda district. According to the General Police Inspectorate, the tragedy happened last night, around 11:20 p.m.

The law enforcement officers established that a 64-year-old Ukrainian, driving a Mercedes Vito and having as passengers four Azerbaijani citizens, two men aged 33 and 49, a 47-year-old woman and a 12-year-old minor, was moving towards the city Stefan Voda.

At one point, he went in the opposite direction and hit a car in which there were a 60-year-old driver and a 57-year-old passenger.

Following the impact, the 47-year-old female passenger died on the spot, and the other passengers in both cars, including the Ukrainian driver, were transported to the Stefan Voda District Hospital.

A criminal trial was initiated to establish all the circumstances.
