The police state that they are currently determining the exact causes of the road accident. It is also being examined whether it was a technical failure of the transport unit or health problems of the policeman.

According to the IGP, the young man was an employee of the Ungheni Police Inspectorate and worked as a senior non-commissioned officer in the Police Sector No. 4.
