One person died and three others, including a child, were taken to hospital following a serious road accident on the Chisinau-Ungheni route, near the village of Rassvet, Straseni district.

According to the police, a car driven by a 36-year-old man collided head-on with another vehicle, driven by a 66-year-old man.

The impact was fatal for the passenger in the first car, a 38-year-old woman, who died on the spot. Both drivers and a 6-year-old child were transported to hospital for medical care.

Law enforcement officers started a criminal case to establish all the circumstances.
