# Orhei // A woman dies in a road accident 

> A tragic incident occurred on the morning of December 13 in Orhei, where a 55-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car. The accident happened on the R-6 road, near the Nistreana neighborhood.

A tragic incident occurred on the morning of December 13 in Orhei, where a 55-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car. The accident happened on the R-6 road, near the Nistreana neighborhood.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, the woman was crossing the street illegally in an unlit area when she was hit by a car driven by a 21-year-old man. 

Unfortunately, the woman, whose identity has not yet been released, died at the scene of the accident. The driver underwent a breathalyzer test, which had a negative result. 

A criminal investigation was started to determine all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
