People express frustration over the country’s inequality and corruption, as well as a government they see as populist and ineffective.  

The student protests, triggered by the collapse of a railway station roof, have gained widespread support from the Serbian public. The **November incident, which left 15 people dead,** has been blamed by critics on government corruption, sparking widespread outrage.  

Since then, near-daily protests have eroded President **Aleksandar Vučić’s** hold on power. He faces accusations of undermining democratic freedoms and enabling corruption during his time in office.
