In May, SA Energocom acquired approximately 318 thousand MWh of electricity from both domestic and foreign sources at a weighted average price of €106.60 per MWh. Around 72% of this energy was imported, while just over 27% was sourced from domestic producers.

A portion of the imported energy, accounting for 9.12% of total consumption, was sourced from Romania at a preferential price. Additionally, 37.63% of the imported energy was obtained through bilateral contracts with external suppliers, while 25.96% was purchased from the OPCOM and BRM exchanges.

Domestically, the combined heat and power plants (CHPs) in Chisinau and Balti contributed approximately 7% of the energy supply. Moreover, energy generated from renewable sources made up around 20%.

According to Energocom, the purchase price does not cover costs associated with transportation, logistics, or the reservation of delivery capacity.
