# Good news for consumers: ANRE approves lower electricity tariffs

> Consumers will see about a 15 percent reduction in their electricity bills. This decision was approved on Tuesday, July 29, by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), following a request from the suppliers "Premier Energy" and "FEE Nord".

Consumers will see about a 15 percent reduction in their electricity bills. This decision was approved on Tuesday, July 29, by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), following a request from the suppliers "Premier Energy" and "FEE Nord".

Consumers in the central and southern regions of the country will pay a new electricity tariff of 3 lei and 59 bani per kilowatt hour, which is 51 bani less than the current rate. "Premier Energy "proposed a tariff of 3 lei and 93 bani, representing a reduction of 17 bani from the existing price.

Consumers in the northern region will also see their bills decrease, as the ANRE approved a tariff that is 68 bani lower than the current rate, bringing it to 4 lei.

"FEE Nord" requested a price of 4 lei and 22 bani.

We remind you that the last tariff adjustment occurred in January when rates were increased. Prior to that, consumers served by "Premier Energy" were paying 2 lei and 34 bani per kilowatt-hour, while those in the north, served by "FEE Nord," were paying 2 lei and 84 bani per kilowatt-hour.

Additionally, all citizens will benefit from electricity compensation until the end of December. Currently, each household pays the initial 110 kWh at the pre-increase rate, which helps mitigate the impact of the price hikes.
