# ELECTIONS 2025 // PDMM, definitively excluded from the electoral race

> The Modern Democratic Party of Moldova (PDMM), linked to Vladimir Plahotniuc, will not participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections on September 28. This decision follows a ruling by the Supreme Court of Justice, which rejected the party's appeal concerning its registration for the electoral race.

The Modern Democratic Party of Moldova (PDMM), linked to Vladimir Plahotniuc, will not participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections on September 28. This decision follows a ruling by the Supreme Court of Justice, which rejected the party's appeal concerning its registration for the electoral race.

In a Facebook comment, representatives of the PDMM stated that the decision made by the SCJ is unjustified and abusive. This follows a similar ruling from the Central Court of Appeal.

The PDMM was not registered to participate in the elections at the end of August, as recommended by the Public Services Agency. Additionally, the Intelligence and Security Service warned of potential subversive actions that could be carried out through the party.

As of now, for the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28, the CEC has registered 23 electoral competitors, which include 15 political parties, four electoral blocs, and four independent candidates.
