# ANSA destroys 3.5 tons of peppers before they hit store shelves

> Specialists destroyed almost 3.5 tons of fresh peppers after employees of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) detected pesticides in the vegetables. The affected batch was imported.

Specialists destroyed almost 3.5 tons of fresh peppers after employees of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) detected pesticides in the vegetables. The affected batch was imported.

Laboratory tests confirmed that the imported vegetables contained pesticide residues exceeding the maximum permitted limits, specifically for Chlorpyrifos and Dinotefuran.

In response to these results, the economic operator decided to destroy 3,400 kilograms of fresh peppers.

The entire batch of vegetables was sealed and destroyed under the strict supervision of ANSA inspectors.

Agency representatives assure the public that not a single kilogram of the contaminated batch has reached the market.
