# Lyceum in Chișinău tops 2026 Baccalaureate ranking with 9.36 average

> The "Spiru Haret" Theoretical Lyceum in Chisinau achieved the highest overall average in this year's national baccalaureate exam – 9.36. In total, 129 lyceums in the Republic of Moldova recorded a 100% pass rate.

The "Spiru Haret" Theoretical Lyceum in Chisinau achieved the highest overall average in this year's national baccalaureate exam – 9.36. In total, 129 lyceums in the Republic of Moldova recorded a 100% pass rate.

The institution's performance has improved compared to last year, when its graduates achieved an average score of 9.19.

Three other lyceums in Chișinău occupy the following positions in the ranking, all with overall averages exceeding 9: "Prometeu-Prim" Lyceum of Creativity and Invention, "Aristotel" Republican Theoretical Lyceum, and "Da Vinci" Theoretical Lyceum.

In the previous session, only two lyceums—"Spiru Haret" and "Aristotel"—achieved this level of performance.

At the other end of the ranking is the "Traian" Theoretical Lyceum (external) in Chișinău, where the overall average of graduates in the baccalaureate exam was 5.88, a decrease from 6.18 in the 2025 session.

The ranking was published by the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation and reflects the results achieved by lyceums in the Republic of Moldova during the national baccalaureate exam in the 2026 session.

According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), the number of lyceums achieving full passing grades is nearly the same as last year, when 130 institutions reported this performance. Meanwhile, the number of lyceums with graduates who attained an overall average higher than 8 has increased from 23 to 33.
