# New diplomat for Moldova in Serbia and Montenegro

> Two consuls from the Republic of Moldova were recalled from their positions. One of them will be appointed as ambassador to another country. Meanwhile, our state will be represented in Serbia and Montenegro by Mihai Mîțu, the ambassador in Bucharest.

Two consuls from the Republic of Moldova were recalled from their positions. One of them will be appointed as ambassador to another country. Meanwhile, our state will be represented in Serbia and Montenegro by Mihai Mîțu, the ambassador in Bucharest.

On Wednesday, August 12, the Government approved the recall of Sergiu Gurduza from his position as Consul General in Istanbul, Turkey. He has now been appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Portugal.

Vladimir Sacagiu, a career diplomat with over 20 years of experience in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will take over the leadership of the Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Istanbul.

During the same meeting, the Government recalled Mihail Căpățănă from his position as the consul of the Republic of Moldova in Frankfurt, Germany. Additionally, Mihai Mîțu, the ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Romania, was appointed to also serve as the ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro, with his residence in Bucharest.
