*“Significant precipitation is expected predominantly in the targeted areas. Rainwater accumulation or torrential bursts will deposit between 15 and 49 liters per square meter,”* the State Hydrometeorological Service said in an advisory.

Following the alert, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) urged citizens to exercise heightened vigilance and avoid traveling through waterlogged areas. Motorists were advised to slow down, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and refrain from crossing submerged road segments.

Parents were cautioned to supervise children closely and keep them away from rivers, drainage channels, and low-lying ground prone to flash flooding. During lightning strikes, residents should avoid standing near tall trees, utility poles, or power lines. Emergency officials also recommended clearing yard ditches to facilitate drainage and securing loose outdoor items. Citizens facing hazard situations should immediately dial the 112 emergency service.
