# An Israeli attempted to enter Moldova with undeclared weapons

> A 20-year-old Israeli citizen is being investigated by the authorities after attempting to illegally bring two air pistols and ammunition for them into the Republic of Moldova. The incident was recorded at the Tudora customs post.

A 20-year-old Israeli citizen is being investigated by the authorities after attempting to illegally bring two air pistols and ammunition for them into the Republic of Moldova. The incident was recorded at the Tudora customs post.

According to the Customs Service, law enforcement officers subjected a Lexus ES300h to a specialized inspection. The vehicle was traveling from Ukraine and had three passengers on board.

Although both the driver and the passengers told the customs officers that they were not carrying goods that needed to be declared, a scan of the luggage showed otherwise.

Following a thorough physical inspection, two 4.5 mm caliber air pistols, as well as ammunition, were found among the personal belongings of the young Israeli man.

The goods were seized and are subject to confiscation.

At the same time, the foreign citizen faces a fine of between 5,000 and 75,000 lei.
