Online travel agency Booking.com has partnered with Moldova’s National Tourism Office to promote the country across international markets, officials announced ahead of the Moldova Tourism Forum 2026 in Chisinau.

The promotional campaign will officially launch on September 24 at Capitoles Park during the forum. The initiative aims to enhance the country’s visibility among international travellers interested in emerging European destinations, with a strong focus on wine routes, gastronomy, and cultural heritage.

**Global digital reach**

The campaign will use the digital infrastructure and distribution network of Booking.com to guide prospective visitors through each stage of travel planning. The system will connect initial destination discovery with accommodation selection and final reservations.

Organisers said the initiative will also generate analytical insights into how international travellers search for information regarding the Republic of Moldova, helping domestic operators refine future marketing strategies.

**Industry dialogue in Chisinau**

*“Booking.com is coming to Chisinau for a direct dialogue with Moldova’s tourism industry,”* the National Tourism Office said in a statement. *“For the first time, Booking.com is officially participating in the Moldova Tourism Forum, bringing international expertise in digital distribution, online visibility, and booking behavior.”*

Representatives from the booking platform will join main-stage panel sessions and lead a dedicated workshop for local hospitality operators. Discussions will focus on property onboarding, digital distribution tools, and strategies for converting online interest into completed bookings.

*“Through this collaboration, the National Tourism Office aims to provide local entrepreneurs with direct access to global expertise, digital tools, and practical guidance to increase their competitiveness abroad,”* the agency added.

**Europe's fastest-growing destination**

The forum will be held under the banner *“Tourism Unites Us: Moldova Welcomes Europe.”* Discussions will bring together public officials, private sector executives, and international development partners.

The partnership comes as the latest World Tourism Barometer reported that Moldova recorded the highest increase in international tourist arrivals in Europe during the first half of the year. Foreign visitor numbers grew by 25 percent year-on-year, outpacing Greece and Ireland at 15 percent, as well as the broader European average of 3 percent.
