Republic of Moldova interested in Chinese companies' experience in renewable energy storage and transport transition to electric vehicles

The Republic of Moldova is interested in taking over the experience of Chinese companies in storing energy produced by renewable installations, as well as in transitioning public and private transport to electric vehicles, Energy Minister Victor Parlicov told a meeting with China's ambassador to Moldova, Yan Wenbin.

According to the minister, the production of green energy has recently been on an upward trend in Moldova, but the problem is that the consumption chart is different from the volumes produced, which differ not only seasonally but also intra-day. This is why there is a need for technologies to balance and store excess energy, to integrate as much as possible of what photovoltaic and wind farms produce.

At the meeting, Energy Minister Victor Parlicov urged Chinese companies to invest in Moldova.
