Ukraine resumes electricity exports to Europe
Ukraine has resumed electricity exports to Europe after a six-month hiatus caused by Russian missile attacks on its energy infrastructure, Ukrainian Energy Minister Gherman Galuscenko announced, reports Agerpres.
According to him, the supply of electricity to Ukraine's population remains the main priority, despite the resumption of exports.
In 2022, electricity production in Ukraine fell by more than 27% due to the war. Europe's largest nuclear power plant, the Zaporozhye plant, which has been under Russian control since March 2022, was shut down in September.
In February this year, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court visited Ukraine to investigate Russian air strikes on power grids.
