Energy Minister Victor Parlicov: The Black Sea submarine power cable will also bring electricity to Moldova
The submarine power cable linking Azerbaijan, Georgia and Romania under the Black Sea will bring affordable electricity to the region, which will also benefit the Republic of Moldova. The statement was made by Energy Minister Victor Parlicov after a meeting with Georgian Ambassador to Moldova Levan Diasamidze.
Victor Parlicov said that the project was supported by the European Union and was important for the Republic of Moldova, especially in the current regional conditions.
During the meeting, the two officials also discussed cooperation in the energy sector, which will be developed at the meeting of the Moldovan-Georgian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, scheduled to take place on 23-24 May.
