PAS deputy: The price of electricity could continue to decrease
The price of electricity could further decrease, after the volume of electricity purchased from the Cuciurgan Power Plant increases, PAS deputy Sergiu Lazarencu said in a TV8 show.
"The price of energy has become cheaper, this is the effect of the agreement we had with ANGRES. As far as I understand, this is the first reduction, since we have contracts until December 11 with a supplier from Romania, ANRE will revise the rates and other reductions will follow at the beginning of January. Once again, I am confident that it was a correct decision, or, in the unprecedented crisis we are going through, it was necessary for the price of energy to be cheaper", said Sergiu Lazarencu. We remind you that yesterday, the National Energy Regulatory approved the new tariffs for electricity. Thus, consumers in the center and south of the country will pay a rate of 4 lei and 62 bani, and those in the north of the country 4 lei and 65 bani. Previously, the Commission for Emergency Situations requested the National Energy Regulatory Agency to revise the current tariff. The request comes after the resumption of deliveries from the Cuciurgan Power Plant, at a price of 73 dollars per megawatt hour.
