Chisinau City Hall will provide the necessary support to the State Chancellery for the organisation of the National Assembly "European Moldova" on 21 May, Mayor Ion Ceban announced today at a press conference.
At the same time, the mayor said that the National Alternative Movement (MAN) will participate in the Assembly, with the aim of supporting the European path of the Republic of Moldova.
"We have meanwhile received a letter from the State Chancellery to offer support free of charge. We are announcing that we will provide all the support within our capabilities and possibilities, both on the infrastructure and logistics side. I am ready to participate. MAN has declared that it advocates the European vector and will support initiatives with this aim," Ion Ceban said,
We would like to point out that earlier, the chairman of the DA Platform, Dinu Plîngău, and the leader of the Coalition for Unity and Well-being, Igor Munteanu, had said about the participation of their parties in the "European Moldova" National Assembly on 21 May.
Among other extra-parliamentary parties, President Maia Sandu's initiative was supported by the League of Cities and Communes, the European Social Democratic Party and the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova.
Apart from the State Chancellery, on the same day, the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova and the Movement for the People reserved the Great National Assembly Square.
