Ukraine: Black Sea grain initiative in jeopardy
Ukrainian authorities warned on Monday that the Black Sea Grain Shipping Initiative is in danger of coming to an end after Russia again blocked ship inspections in Turkish waters under the agreement, Rador reports.
The initiative allows grain to be exported safely from some Ukrainian Black Sea ports following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
"For the second time in nine months of the Grain Initiative's operation, no inspection plan has been drawn up and not a single vessel has been inspected. This threatens the functioning of the Grain Initiative," the Ministry of Communities, Lands and Infrastructure Development warned in a Facebook post.
