Tamara Chișca-Doneva is the new interim president of the Supreme Court of Justice
Tamara Chișca-Doneva has been appointed interim president of the Supreme Court of Justice, although Aliona Miron was appointed to the position by the SCM at the end of March.
Tamara Chișca-Doneva took the helm of the institution on 7 April, but the announcement was made public only today by the members of the SCM, meeting in session. The decision was approved by a vote of the four members of the SCM.
Tamara Chișca-Doneva has been a judge at the Supreme Court of Justice since 2003 and was suspended from her position as interim president of the SCJ in April 2022. The judge was targeted in a case for illicit enrichment.
