Sergiu Gaibu has been appointed Director at ANRCETI
Former Economy Minister Sergiu Gaibu has been appointed director of the National Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology Regulation (ANRCETI). A decision to this effect was approved by the Government at its meeting today, 19 April.
Sergiu Gaibu has been appointed to this position for a period of 4 years.
The new director of ANRCETI has a degree in international economic relations. "His professional background includes 27 years of activity in business, public sector, associations and international organisations", explained the Secretary General of the Government, Artur Mija.
"His analytical skills will help us to analyse very well the telecommunications markets, which are very complex", remarked Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
The National Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology Regulation (ANRCETI) is the central public authority that regulates the activity in the electronic communications, information technology and postal communications sectors, ensures the implementation of the development strategies of the nominated sectors and supervises compliance with the legislation in the field by the providers of electronic communications and postal services markets.
