Ministry of Health announces that the number of COVID-19 illnesses is decreasing
A decrease in the number of COVID-19 illnesses has been recorded in the Republic of Moldova for six consecutive weeks. The number of cases of seasonal flu and acute upper respiratory infections also decreased in the last week, the Health Ministry announced.
Thus, 463 cases of COVID-19 were recorded from 10 to 16 April, down about 32 percent from the previous week, as well as 15 cases of influenza, down about 53 percent.
The number of hospitalisations due to acute viral respiratory infections also decreased. The Ministry of Health also reports that there were no deaths from influenza in the past week.
At the first signs of respiratory infections - fever, cough, sneezing, headache, weakness - people are urged to consult their family doctor.
