"This is a historic moment and a first exercise of its kind for our country, an exercise in which hundreds of employees of state institutions presented the progress and reforms of the past year. In this regard, we had a productive discussion about Moldova's substantial progress in implementing the nine recommendations of the European Commission. On this occasion, we reiterated our commitment to continue the implementation of the reform agenda so that accession negotiations can be launched as soon as possible", Nicu Popescu wrote on a social network.

During the discussions, the officials also referred to the organisation of the European Political Summit, which will take place on 1 June in Chisinau.

The report on Moldova's contributions to the EU's Enlargement Report comprises some 1,000 pages describing progress and reforms over the past year.

The basic objectives in relation to our country's accession to the EU were outlined by President Maia Sandu in the National Commission for European Integration, and the Republic of Moldova's contribution was approved last week by the Government Commission for European Integration.
