"Those who break the law are liable to prosecution". Customs Service urges citizens to declare their goods for inspection
In the context of the Easter holidays, when the flow of crossings of the state border is increasing, the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova urges citizens to declare their goods during the control.
At the same time, it reminds us that the transport of meat and dairy products and eggs is prohibited within the European Union. Those who break the law are liable to prosecution or a fine, Customs Service representative Viorel Plugari told Radio Moldova.
According to the regulation, a Moldovan citizen may transport to the European Union no more than 2 kg of honey or other animal products not containing meat or milk. At the same time, 4 litres of wine and 16 litres of beer, as well as up to 1 litre of spirits are allowed to be delivered.
Please note that these rules also apply to unaccompanied baggage.
