Government releases wheat from state reserves. Who can buy it and at what price
Food wheat from state reserves in the amount of 21,082.709 tonnes is to be released to beneficiaries chosen on a competitive basis to replenish reserves, the Material Reserves Agency announces.
The wheat will be released in priority to producers of bread, bakery and milling products and, in the absence of applications from them, to all economic agents applying for it.
"The wheat will be released on a contract basis with the compulsory presentation of a financial/bank guarantee, the amount of which will ensure the replenishment of the quantity of wheat taken out of stock, at the price of 3,971 lei/tonne, set by the Joint Commission for setting prices for goods from the state and mobilisation reserves, as well as contingency expenses in the amount of 8% of the value of the released quantity," the Material Reserves Agency said in a press release.
Domestic economic agents are invited to participate in the competition. Applications can be submitted until 3 May. If the stocks of wheat are not exhausted, the next stage will take place, about which the Agency will announce further.
