Two U.S. Army attack helicopters crashed during a training flight in Alaska
Two US military attack helicopters crashed on Thursday during a training flight in northwestern Alaska, the US military announced, without specifying the number of casualties in the crash, which is the second such accident in less than a month, Hotnews.ro reports.
The two AH-64 Apache helicopters "crashed today near Healy, Alaska, while returning from a training flight," the US Army's 11th Airborne Division said in a statement.
"Rescuers are on the scene. The incident is under investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available," the source said.
In late March, nine soldiers died in the crash of two US Army Black Hawk helicopters during a night flying exercise in Kentucky.
