The preparation of Ukraine's Defence Forces for a counteroffensive is in its final stage, Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has announced, as quoted by Ukrinform.
"The training is nearing its end, because in addition to weapons and military equipment, our military must master it. And we have received very modern systems. Let me remind you that in addition to Leopard-2 tanks plus Challenger, we are still waiting for Abrams. But Abrams will not be part of this counteroffensive. But our crews have already left for training," Reznikov said.
The official also stressed that he had no right to reveal details, as the Russians also monitor Ukrainian intelligence space.
At the same time, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, quoted by Unian, urges not to perceive the Ukrainian counteroffensive as a decisive battle: the final battle is the one that will lead to the complete liberation of Ukrainian territories.
"If a counterattack is needed - there will be one, if two or more are needed - there will be. This is not a conflict that can be frozen." the diplomat continued.
He noted that people who see the counteroffensive as a decisive battle "distort the image of Ukrainian efforts." The Foreign Ministry chief stressed that Ukraine will fight until victory.
