Ukraine attacked the occupied city of Melitopol with HIMARS missiles
The Ukrainian army launched a large-scale missile attack on several Russian military bases in the occupied territories on Saturday night.

According to the international press, two airports in Crimea were targeted, as well as a barracks in the city of Melitopol, where Chechen soldiers were allegedly housed.
The media in Moscow admitted the attack, but announced that only two soldiers had lost their lives in the bombing, while the Ukrainians claim that it would be several hundred.
An adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Oleksi Arestovich, said Melitopol, a major industrial and transport hub occupied by Russia since March, was essential to the defense of the south.
"All the logistics connecting the Russian forces, from the eastern part of the Kherson region to the Russian border near Mariupol, is done through Melitopol," Arestovici explained in a video interview posted on social media.
"If Melitopol falls, the whole defence line up to Kherson collapses. Ukrainian forces gain a direct route to Crimea," he pointed out.
