The event is an opportunity to celebrate the principles underlying press freedom, assess the state of press freedom in the world, renew efforts to defend media independence, reflect on issues of press freedom and professional ethics, and pay tribute to those journalists who lost their lives doing their job.

In the context of the aforementioned, the Center for Independent Journalism from the Republic of Moldova announces a flashmob for today in front of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, with the slogan "United for the freedom of the press. The truth cannot be suppressed!".

Thus, those present propose to stand in solidarity with the journalists who reflect the war and who do their job honestly regardless of the circumstances.
