The Oncology Institute has received a new consignment of medical equipment and medicines for children and adult cancer patients from the IOM

The Oncology Institute has received from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) neuromuscular transmission monitors, ultrasound machines, chemotherapy pumps, patient warmers, implantable chemotherapy chambers with accessories, other medical supplies and medicines needed for the treatment of people with cancer diseases.

The donation event took place on Friday 5 May with the participation of the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Ion Prisăcaru, the Head of the IOM Mission in Moldova, Lars Johan Lönnback, the Deputy Head of the US Embassy Mission in Chisinau, Laura Hruby, and medical workers.

The donation, totalling $150,000, was made within the framework of the project "Humanitarian Assistance to Ukraine and Neighbouring Countries". This is the third consignment of medicines and equipment donated to the Institute of Oncology to ensure access to healthcare, including for refugees from Ukraine.
