Ion Ceban has published an alleged PAS plan on the organization of the "European Moldova" National Assembly. PAS: Money for this event is legally allocated

The mayor of the capital, Ion Ceban, published on a social network several images of an alleged plan of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) for the organization of the National Assembly "European Moldova". The documents allegedly included the number of people who would arrive from the districts to the Grand National Assembly Square, as well as the amounts allocated for their transportation. The mayor requested the involvement of the National Anti-Corruption Centre and the Central Electoral Commission. He also urged the prosecutor's office to investigate the case. In response, PAS said that Ion Ceban was trying to distract attention from the corruption scandals in City Hall.

At the same time, representatives of the ruling party said PAS members and supporters will be in the Grand National Assembly Square on 21 May. Moreover, they say, they have decided to allocate funds to promote the event.

"All party expenses for this event, including partial transport subsidies, are legally allocated and will be reported as required by law," the PAS statement added.

Moldovan President Maia Sandu launched the initiative to convene the European Moldova National Assembly in Chisinau on 21 May in the Grand National Assembly Square.
