Expert: Moldova can be an important political partner
The organisation of the European Political Community Summit in the Republic of Moldova is a recognition that our country can be an important political partner, said Angela Grămadă, President of the Association of Experts for Security and Global Affairs, on Radio Moldova's "Paralela 47". According to her, no one, since our country gained independence until now, has managed to organize an event of such magnitude.
"It seemed impossible to achieve and impossible to think logistically with such an infrastructure, which we had precarious, with very little investment, but also with political investment because all the efforts made by the diplomacy of the Republic of Moldova previously, all were directed only to serve certain interests. Now things are changing and they are changing for the benefit of citizens. The summit, in fact, is not only coming to the Republic of Moldova, but it is coming closer to Ukraine, and this means that those European leaders are defying Russia, and Moldova has a unique chance now to show that all this confidence that it has built over the last few years is one that has been worth all the foreign investment we have received," said Angela Grămada.
All state institutions are involved in the organisation of the European Political Community Summit to be held on 1 June in Bulboaca. So far, several investments have been made in infrastructure, such as roads, parking lots and modernization of the local railway.
The head of state, Maia Sandu, will host all the leaders who will arrive in our country.
