“During the last air alert, a UAV was detected in the airspace of Kyiv. The drone was destroyed...Preliminarily, there were no casualties or damage," announced the military administration of the capital of Ukraine, according to Reuters.

Alerts extended from Kiev and regions west of it to all regions in the east, as well as south to Kherson region and Russian-annexed Crimea.

Local officials in several Ukrainian regions reported that air defense systems were deployed overnight, but there were no immediate reports early Sunday of possible casualties or damage.

A pro-Russian official also announced that Ukraine had launched more than 10 drone strikes on the Crimean peninsula overnight, including three on the port of Sevastopol, noting that air defense systems repelled all of the attacks. "Not a single object (in Sevastopol) was damaged," said Mikhail Razvojaev, the Moscow-installed governor of Sevastopol.
