Ursula von der Leyen will meet Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev, on Europe Day

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will meet, tomorrow, in Kyiv with the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, on Europe Day, the European Commission announced.

The visit reaffirms "the EU's unwavering support for this country", said a spokesman for the European Commission, who also added that the visit will focus on all dimensions of the EU's relations with Ukraine, reports Reuters.

To date, Brussels has provided Ukraine with military, financial and humanitarian aid worth 67 billion euros. Moreover, they are working on a new set of economic sanctions against Russia.

Deputies meet in a new plenary session. According to the agenda approved by the Standing Bureau, the Parliament is to ratify an agreement that provides for Canada to offer a loan to the Republic of Moldova in the amount of 120 million Canadian dollars, the equivalent of over one and a half billion lei. The money will be used to strengthen the resilience of households, including refugees, but also to support climate resilience and the transition to green energy. On the agenda is also a project to adjust the national regulatory framework with the provisions of the European Union legislation regarding contracts for the supply of digital content and digital services. At today's meeting, the appointment of some members of the Superior Council of Magistracy is also planned. These are Sergiu Băieșu and Tatiana Tabuncic.
