Chisinau City Hall will spend over 33 million lei for the renovation of summer camps
More than 33 million lei will be spent by the Chisinau City Hall for the renovation of summer camps. The statement was made today during the weekly meeting of the Chisinau City Hall services by the interim head of the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport, Andrei Pavaloi.
According to the official, during the summer period they will provide children with about 9,000 places to rest.
"Compared to last year, we have one more day camp. There will be 14 day camps. Likewise, we have those three permanent camps where the students from the municipality of Chisinau are going to rest. We will have camps in extracurricular institutions, including sports schools. Rest in day camps will start on June 5th and will last until June 23rd. Only one institution also has shift two. We are talking about the "Mihail Sadoveanu" Lyceum from June 26 to July 14. More than 33 million lei are to be spent for the summer vacation," said the interim head of DGETS.
Andrei Pavaloi also emphasized that part of the tickets for the summer holiday will be paid in proportion to 20 percent from the parents' account, and the rest will be covered by the Chisinau City Hall.
Also, children from socially vulnerable families will benefit from tickets paid in full from the budget of Chisinau City Hall.
