European security, energy interconnection and expanded trade should be on the agenda of the CPE Summit, experts say
European security, energy interconnection, expanded trade and the liberalization of roaming tariffs are just some of the topics that should be on the agenda of the European Political Community Summit – the most important international event hosted by our country since the declaration of its independence. It is the opinion of national experts, who believe that the event represents a unique opportunity for non-EU states, such as the Republic of Moldova, to meet with the member countries of the European Union, in order to strengthen their cooperation and bilateral relations.
Also, the visit of the 50 European presidents and heads of state and government is also a guarantee for the security of the Republic of Moldova, in the context of the war in Ukraine.
"The June 1 summit is a recognition of the Republic of Moldova as an important element in the promotion of the region," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
We remind you that on June 1, the Summit of the European Political Community will take place in Bulboaca. 40 of the 50 invited leaders have confirmed their presence at the Summit.
Among them are the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen and the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.
