Construction works on the Leova-Bumbăta bridge 80% completed
The construction works of the Leova-Bumbăta floating bridge are 80% completed, Executive Spokesman Daniel Vodă announced today. He said that the bridge will soon become operational.
"On the Leova-Bumbăta bridge there are updates, yesterday, the technical teams continued the works even though it was May 9 and it was a holiday. We want these infrastructure projects to develop as soon as possible to benefit citizens. The construction process at this stage, according to information from the ministries, has reached 80%, so very soon the works will be completed and we will be able to make use of this infrastructure project," said Daniel Voda.
Earlier, Prime Minister Dorin Recean Recean announced that traffic on the Leova-Bumbăta bridge over the Prut will be launched in May. The bridge construction works started in the summer of 2022.
