Nicu Popescu: The Republic of Moldova will join the Governing Council of the Community of Democracies
The Republic of Moldova announced its intention to join the Governing Council of the Community of Democracies. The decision was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu who participated in the 36th meeting of the organization.
The head of diplomacy from Chisinau emphasized that in recent years our country has made progress in protecting human rights and building a more inclusive society, and the results are reflected in international rankings such as the World Press Freedom Index and the Gender Equality Index.
Also, Nicu Popescu reiterated the fact that the strategic objective of the Republic of Moldova is the accession to the European Union - a path to a more democratic, more prosperous and more stable society.
