CSE ruled on the events in the Great National Assembly Square: The events organized by the Government will have priority

If several applicants submitted prior declarations regarding the organization of simultaneous meetings between May 14 and June 2, 2023, the organizer representing the local public authority has priority in organizing the meeting, regardless of the order of submission of prior declarations. A decision to this effect was adopted by the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE).

Also, to ensure public order, in the context of the European Political Community Summit on June 1, the organization of mass meetings in the municipality of Chisinau, as well as in the districts of Orhei, Anenii Noi and Criuleni, will be notified to the State Chancellery, at the address [email protected]. In the case of simultaneous meetings, prior declarations submitted by the central public authorities will have priority. The provisions will be valid until June 2, 2023, inclusive.

We remind you that the Government sent the notification to the Chisinau City Hall for booking the Great National Assembly Square (PMAN) for the holding of the "European Moldova" National Assembly, but the Square was already booked for May 21 by the People's Movement, PSRM, and other organizations. The spokesperson of the Government, Daniel Vodă, had previously declared that in order to avoid certain incidents, law enforcement institutions would be involved.
