Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Bogdan Aurescu, participates in the Informal Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs from EU Member States

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Bogdan Aurescu, participates in the informal Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs from the EU Member States (Gymnich type), which is hosted by the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU, in Stockholm.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bucharest, European foreign ministers will have in-depth discussions on Russia's aggression against Ukraine, as well as on EU-China relations. Also, the European officials will have an informal exchange of views with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba.

Afterwards, the EU Ministerial Forum on the Indo-Pacific region will take place, this being the largest ministerial meeting organized during the current Swedish Presidency of the EU Council, with the participation of over 60 level representatives from the two geographical areas.

According to the MAE press release from Bucharest, the Romanian minister will co-moderate, within the Forum, the session dedicated to security issues. In the current security context, marked by increasingly acute tensions in both regions, it will highlight the importance of defending the rules-based international order through solidarity actions.
