"Moldova stood up whenever it was needed". Maia Sandu urges citizens to participate in the "European Moldova" Assembly
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, came today with an appeal to all our citizens to participate in the "European Moldova" Assembly. The event will take place in the centre of the capital on 21 May.
"Moldovans have always gathered to decide the fate of the country. We gathered in the Great National Assembly Square and demanded freedom and sovereignty. Because our nation has an unshakeable faith in humanity and justice. Moldova stood up whenever it was needed. That is how we are. United in decisive moments", said the head of state.
In her message, Maia Sandu called for unity.
"It takes all of us to put Moldova on the right path. The European way. The whole world will see - the master in our country is the people. Moldovans are Europeans. Come on 21 May, at 11:00, in the Great National Assembly Square, let's say with one voice that the future of our country is in the European Union," urged Maia Sandu.
